Keynsham defeat is game to forget, says boss Jones

By Mark Pritchett in Football

WELLINGTON’S football manager Clive Jones has told his players to forget the result of Saturday’s game at Keynsham in Division One of the Toolstation League.

Wellington lost 2-0 on a 3G artificial pitch but Jones said last night: “We played really well but it was simply not our day.

“We created a lot of chances – more than we have done for some time. But we couldn’t score.

“This sometimes happens and you just have to forget about it and concentrate on the next game.

“We played some good football and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

“I don’t worry about what other sides are doing. It’s our performance each week which I think about.”

Despite losing at Keynsham, Wellington go into tonight’s rearranged away game against Warminster still on top of the table and chasing the season’s double over their opponents.
