WOMEN in the Wellington area can indulge themselves at a Ladies Pamper Evening coming up at the Scout Hall.
The event is being held to raise funds for Tom Disney, 13, one of the Madagascar 10 at Court Fields School, who is planning to work in an orphanage on the island off the coast of Africa next summer.
The pamper evening on Friday, May 5, will feature stalls including massage, nail art, Aloe Vera, hair, Temple Spa, Always Lovely, Ann Summers, Sandra the medium, and Kanya – ladies clothes.
Tom, who needs to raise £3,800 to go to Madagascar, had a full house for a bingo night at the Scout Hall in March sponsored by IJ Scaffolding and another bingo night is planned for Friday, June 9.
And the night before the Six Nations England v Ireland match he set up a stall in Springfield Road, Wellington, where he lives, and made £80 selling cakes baked in the teams’ colours.
To make more money he has taken on several magazine delivery rounds, upped his newspaper round from one to six days, helps out neighbours and cleans cars inside and out.
A pet stall run by his 86-year-old great-grandmother Joyce Botting at Wellington Spring Fayre on Sunday, a VW cruise to Weston-super-Mare and a stall at the Welliestock music festival on Saturday, July 1, will coin in more cash, with other events lined up.
Tom will stay and work alongside disadvantaged children and families at the orphanage in Tana, Madagascar, help with projects and go hiking in the rainforest. He will be continuing the charity work Court Fields children began in 2016.
Anyone who wants to contact Tom’s family about any of the events he is holding can call Georgie or Andy Disney on 01823 665086.
