WELLINGTON are hoping that two of their former back row players Harry Ramsey and Danny Lee will be available to play for them this coming season after returning from their travels in New Zealand and Australia.
“We’re pretty sure that Harry will be playing for us but we’re not absolutely sure what Danny will be up to,” said Wellington club spokesman Alynn Chetland, who was caretaker coach for much of last season.
Wellington suffered badly with injuries and players being unavailable last season and finished bottom of Western Counties West. Next season they will be playing in the Devon and Cornwall League.
Meanwhile, Wellington’s players will be reporting back for training on Wednesday, June 21, under new coach Graham Dawe, the ex-England and Bath player.
Wellington’s target this coming season is a quick return to Western Counties and they hope Dawe’s experience will give them the edge over other sides.
