Neil Fullstone game called off

By Mark Pritchett in Football

A T20 cricket match arranged on Friday evening as a tribute to former Wellington player Neil Fullstone had to be called off because of bad weather.

The game was to have been played at the Playing Field and would have involved a team selected by Wellington club president Duncan Short and Wellington CC’s Past Players Association.

Neil died earlier this year after a long illness at the age of 57. He played for Wellington in his late teens and 20s, and could bat, bowl and field.

The game is to be rearranged later in the season.
