MORE than 40 charities, voluntary organisations, and statutory agencies have been shown around a nearly-finished community hub in Wellington.

The town council held an open morning in the former Kings Arms public house, which it is due to take over in July after completion of renovation by Falcon Housing Association.

Also attending was a group of Court Fields School pupils who have advised the council on how best to set up a youth provision.

The open morning provided an opportunity for organisations to tour the space and register their interest in using it.

A council spokesperson said: “If you represent a charity or community group and would like to know more about the space and are interested in using it, please email us at [email protected].”
