WELLINGTON will be looking to win their first match of the season when they play at home to Ilminster in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier Cricket League on Saturday, May 24 (12 noon).

Wellington have lost all three of their first team games this season, the latest being a 114-run loss away to Temple Cloud who are the early leaders of the division.

Temple Cloud, who opted to bat first, scored 208-7 after being 97-6 at one stage before Cameron Raffan (41 not out) and Dan Nolan (36 not out) shared in an unbroken eighth-wicket stand of 74. In reply, Wellington slumped to 24-6 before being bowled out for 94 .

The result left Temple Cloud sharing top spot with NorthPerrott, with Wellington having just one more point than bottom side Wembdon in a division they dominated only two seasons ago, winning the title without losing a game. Ilminster are lying sixth, having won two of their opening three fixtures.

Wellington 2nd XI, lying fourth in Division Two of the Somerset League, play away to Burnham who have a 100 per cent record after three matches.

Wellington 3rd XI, who were awarded 35 points after their match away to Huntspill in Division Seven Red was conceded, are again without a fixture.

Meanwhile, Bagborough play at home to Kilve in the first division of the West Somerset Cricket League with both sides having won their opening three fixtures - and with only two points separating the teams.

Champions Ashbrittle, who are lying fifth with a maximum haul of 70 points from their opening two fixtures, are away to third-place East Huntspill.

There is another intriguing game in Division Two with 100 per centers Churchinford at home to Crowcombe, who are top with 24-point lead over their rivals.
