AS THE Somerset Juniors County Netball League season draws to a close, it marks the end of an unforgettable debut season for Wellington Netball Club. Despite facing challenges and hurdles along the way, the club has emerged stronger, more united, and filled with pride.

The Under 14s team has been the epitome of determination and teamwork throughout the season. Several players are under 12 and they have showcased exceptional skills and commitment, contributing to the team's success.

Their hard work on the court, coupled with their fabulous teamwork, has laid a solid foundation for the seasons to come. While the results might not always reflect their efforts, the team's spirit remains undeterred, promising a formidable force in the next season. The Under 16s squad, consisting of 16 talented players, has left a lasting impression in their debut season. Securing the runners-up position is a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and outstanding teamwork.

Each player has demonstrated not only their individual brilliance but also their ability to synchronise seamlessly as a team. The club is immensely proud of their achievements and looks forward to witnessing their continued growth and success in the future. Despite the conclusion of the league season, the dedication of Wellington Netball Club does not wane. Training sessions will continue until July, ensuring that the players remain sharp and prepared for upcoming challenges.

Moreover, the club is gearing up to participate in the Somerset county end-of-season competition, with the aim of showcasing their skills and camaraderie on a larger stage. A special acknowledgment goes to Gracie Stevens (team coach) and Melanie Ayres (club chairperson) whose leadership, inspiration, and unwavering support has been instrumental in the club's journey this season. They also thank their sponsors Mount Vets, Seasons Ecology and Somerset Motorhome. To commemorate the achievements and celebrate the collective efforts of the players, coaches, and supporters, Wellington Netball Club invites everyone to join them on the 22nd of June for an awards celebration at the Rugby Club.

It promises to be an afternoon filled with joy, camaraderie, and well-deserved recognition for all involved. As the season draws to a close, Wellington Netball Club reflects on the challenges overcome, the victories celebrated, and the bonds forged.
