Volunteers from the Blackdown Support Group and Rosemary Lane Chapel welcomed 40 guests to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their monthly lunch club.
The lunch club takes place at the Chapel on the second Wednesday of every month and offers lonely and rurally isolated local residents a chance to enjoy a home-cooked meal and to meet and make friends.
The lunch club is a joint venture between local charity The Blackdown Support Group and the Chapel. Many of the original volunteers joined guests for turkey and Christmas pudding followed by mince pies and carol singing. Blackdown Support Group founders Susan Dogget and Dr Jonathan Meads cut the celebration cake.
