POLICE believe that a fire which almost totally destroyed a vehicle in West Buckland was started deliberately.

Firefighters were called to the incident in the village at 2.33am on Monday.

The vehicle was well alight when they arrived on the scene at Sawyers Hill. A fire crew from Wellington soon extinguished the fire but the vehicle was 90 per cent damaged.
