LOCAL band Cleverly Everly and the Sixties Tribute Show are making a return to the stage – after a Covid enforced absence.
And their next gig at the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton on Thursday, February 24, will be raising money for the Samaritans.
The band is made up of former BBC TV correspondent Clinton Rogers, his brother Stan and his wife Uta, and family friend Steve Craig. They re-create the unique sound of the Everly Brothers as well as delving into the rich musical archive of the 60s.
Their last stage performance was at the Princess Theatre in Burnham-on-Sea in August.
Clinton said: “We are looking forward to getting back on stage. Covid has led to the cancellation of a few gigs and we are raring to go – that’s if we can remember the words!”
Clinton’s brother Stan is a Samaritan in Taunton and part of the band’s fee will be given to the charity. Stan said: “We hope to see a big crowd at the Brewhouse. We have missed playing – and it will be great to raise money for a terrific cause.”
Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are £16 and can be bought from www.thebrewhouse.net
