A motorist is in a critical condition in hospital after a crash near Wellington.

Police are seeking witnesses to the collision, which happened on Nowers Lane on the A38 at about 8.15pm on Friday, September 30, and involved a silver Toyota Yaris.

The driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition, police said this week.

A spokesperson added: “We are seeking witnesses or dashcam footage from other motorists to assist us with our enquiries. Please call 101 and quote reference number 5222236015.”
