A LETTER of thanks is to be written to a Wellington police officer who is retiring after 21 years of service in the town.
PC Mick Dunn is retiring from the police after 22 years – with 21 of those spent walking the beat in Wellington.
Members of Wellington Town Council last week said a letter of appreciation should be sent to PC Dunn.
Cllr Andrew Govier said: “We should thank him for his efforts. He has been a great servant to the police and this town.”
Councillors were told that PC Mike Tipper from Taunton would be stepping into PC Dunn’s shoes.
