World Book Day at Rockwell Green Primary School was a wonderful success.

The children looked fabulous in their costumes and the sharing assembly gave them the chance to shine.

All the learning throughout the day centred on the The Lost Words, written by Robert Macfarlane and illustrated by Jackie Morris.

The ‘lost’ words are key nature words taken out of the Oxford Children’s Dictionary.

It is hoped the activities throughout the day have inspired pupils to read more – they have already started reading the new book they choose from the book swap.
