A SPECIALIST school could be built near Bradford on Tone to take pupils with special educational, social, emotional, and mental health needs.
The Cambian Group wants to build the state-funded six-classroom school on nearly an acre of paddock land close to Mill House equestrian centre, where camping and weddings were held.
Across the road, Cambian already uses Bradford Mills as a small children’s home for four youngsters, who would be among up to 25 pupils attending the new school.
The school would take looked-after children aged seven to 17 years who currently live in Cambian homes in the area, according to a planning application submitted to Somerset West and Taunton Council.
