A WOMAN whose husband died just over a month ago has thanked the post office at Rockwell Green for finding her gold wedding ring.
Angela Laming, of Oakfield Park, Wellington, discovered her ring was missing last Saturday. “The ring was loose on my finger and I suppose it was my own fault I lost it,” she said. “It means so much to me because I was married for 58 years.
“I searched the house everywhere and then looked back to the previous day when I went to two places – Lloyds bank in Wellington and the post office in Rockwell Green.
“I rang Lloyds and they said they hadn’t seen it but the post office said they had found it. I’m so overjoyed. The ring is 22ct but it’s worth so much more to me.”

He was a keen golfer at Taunton & Pickeridge until he could no longer play because of the illness.
Mrs Laming added: “Because the ring was loose, I have put it on a different finger so it will not happen again.”
