BONHAMS Auction House is to hold an Antiques Valuation Day at St Michael & All Angels’ Church, St Michael’s Hill, Milverton, in aid of the restoration of the church clock, which sits in the tower of this Norman Church.
The event will take place in the church on Friday, July 15, between 11am and 3pm. Admission to the church is free but valuations are charged at £2 an item – up to a maximum of three items per person.
Fergus Gambon, a well-known ceramics specialist from Bonhams, who appears regularly on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, will be taking part together with Jean Ghika, a jewellery specialist also from Bonhams in London.
Charles Lanning, a general valuer from Bonhams in Exeter, and Lucy Lanning, who specialises in jewellery and silver, are also taking part.
Car parking will be available and refreshments will be on sale in the church. A raffle will also be held with all proceeds going towards the restoration fund.
