AUTHOR of the Jamie Johnson series of books and journalist Dan Freedman has visited Court Fields School in Wellington.

He spoke to all Year 8 and some Year 7 students about his life and experiences working at the Football Association.

He told them reading did not come easily to him at school and that he bases his stories on real events.

Students received a copy of The Kick Off, the first book in the Jamie Johnson series, and some were lucky enough to have their books signed. Harry Taylor won the signed football presented for the best questions.

A spokesman for the school said: “Thank you to everyone involved in the visit. This was a fantastic opportunity for all the students involved, which they thoroughly enjoyed.”
