WELLINGTON Neighbourhood Policing Team PCSO Louise Fyne has attended Avon and Somerset Constabulary Citizens in Policing Awards ceremony after being nominated for the Citizens in Policing Ambassador of the year award.

Lou’s nomination was in recognition of her work with the Mini-Police where her creativity and innovation captivates the children she works with.

The scheme at Wiveliscombe Primary School is seen as being one of the most innovative schemes across the force helping those children involved to develop their sense of social justice and moral responsibility through a fun and engaging programme of activities.

The scheme gives the children a real insight into policing and the importance of helping other people in the community.
