A 14-MONTH OLD baby has been injured by flying glass in an attack on a house in Rockwell Green.
Vandals targeted the house as the family was sitting watching television after tea.
Horrified Mum Kate Helling, 35, told of the family's shock when the attack took place as she and her partner, John Langdon, 41, were settling baby Rhys, and his brother Oliver, two, before putting them to bed.
She said: "We were all watching television after tea, and we were were about to put the boys to bed when there was a sudden crashing noise, and glass from the front window sprayed into the room.
"Some of the glass cut Rhys' cheek and his neck, behind his ear.
"I was shocked and the boys were terrified. Rhys, who was sitting in a chair, was bleeding.
"It could easily have been his eye."
She said she thought the vandals had used something heavy to break the glass.
