SHAULS bakery and cafe on the corner of South Street and High Street, Wellington, has closed permanently.

The cafe shut earlier this year due to Covid-19 and government advice with a notice saying ‘we are closed until further notice.’

The bakery is one of 12 family-owned shops in Somerset and Devon employing about 150.

The business is thought to have gone into liquidation with debts of £1.6 million.
