CHILDREN at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington have taken part in an ‘Archie Day’.

Town-based charity Reminiscence Learning runs the inter-generational dementia awareness Archie Project.

Children from Years 3/4 went to school dressed in combinations of red and yellow, an acknowledgment of the last colours recognised by people suffering from dementia.

Pupils brought in donations for the Archie Project and Shane Mace from the project helped them explain dementia to the rest of the school through games.
