YOUNG Ben Grischeff, from Wiveliscombe, has been getting a taste of working life at the WWN.

Ben, 15, who attends Kingsmead School in the town, spent time in the editorial and advertisement departments, and in reception, on work experience last week.

He has just finished Year 10 and is gearing up for his GCSEs next year. He hopes to go on to study at Richard Huish College in Taunton and possibly Politics, Philosophy and Economics at university.

Outside of school, he plays football – he is centre back for Wellington Under-16s after he started playing for the club six years ago. He is also a referee, taking charge of under-12s games around Somerset on Saturday mornings.

Ben, who lives with his mum and dad, James and Susanna, in Burgess Lane, is considering journalism as a career, along with other options.
