POPULAR local covers band Benny & the Teds, who graced many Somerset venues for nearly three decades, are meeting up again in Wellington for one last gig.

They will be performing at a charity evening to raise funds for the Somerset Unit for Radio Therapy Equipment (SURE) based at the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital.

The event is on Saturday, October 14, at Wellington Arts Centre, by arrangement with Wellington Arts Association, and will include a full supporting programme, supper and bar.

The Teds say they are not getting any younger but promise to get everyone up and dancing. Tickets priced £10, including supper, are available from Odette’s tea room in High Street, Wellington – phone 01823 667919.
