THE Rock with the Docs event at the Beambridge Inn, near Sampford Arundel, had a sprinkling of stardust with former Coronation Street actress Amanda Barrie and her wife author Hilary Bonner among those who attended.

The event was staged to raise money for patient heart monitors and patient transport scheme at Wellington Medical Centre.

The dress code was black tie for men and gowns for women and the event included a four-course dinner, live music and disco, along with an auction of promises and grand raffle.
