MUMS Abbie and Staci Patterson-Bright hand over the £1,030 proceeds of a bingo night at Wellington Rugby Club to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Their son Cooper weighed only 1lb 4oz when he was born about 16 weeks early in December 2016. Since then he has spent 384 days in five hospital across the country.

Abbie lived in Wellington until she was 35 before moving to Worcestershire with her American wife in 2014 and still visits frequently.

Abbie said: "We are so humbled by the town’s generosity and wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who came and those who helped and donated prizes.

"The support has been just amazing and thanks also go to local companies and organisations for donating."
