DRAMA groups in the Wellington area are being invited to apply for £1,000 of building materials from RGB Building Supplies.

The company has been helping groups in the South-West by making the donation every other month and so far this year those with a disability, an outdoor project, a heritage scheme and a community centre have benefited.

Whether a group needs help with a stage backdrop, or would like to update the facilities where they rehearse or put on a performance, the company would like to hear from them.

Product manager Keith Harris said: “As RGB has been operating in the South-West for over 160 years, the Well Built Community Fund is our way of giving something back. From all the nominations we receive from amateur dramatic groups, we will narrow it down to three and then ask the local community to vote for the group they think deserves to receive the £1,000 worth of materials.”

Groups can nominate themselves by emailing [email protected] explaining what they would use the materials for. Nominations can also be made by sending a letter to RGB Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon EX39 9DU.

The closing date for nominations is Sunday, August 28.

In 2016, RGB’s Well Built Community Fund will also be helping schools that support children with additional needs, the scouting movement and libraries.
