A MUSIC business is quitting Taunton to set up shop at the Chelston Business Park in September.

Award-winning John Packer, based at Station Road, Taunton, is moving to larger premises.

Director Rob Hanson said the move would enable the firm to cope with growing business.“The last few years have seen huge expansion in our business, especially internationally, and we have not only won the Taunton Deane award for Best Growth Business 2018, but also been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Growth Sector,” he said.

The Queen’s Award is the highest accolade a business can receive and is in recognition of the company’s substantial international growth in overseas earnings and commercial success within the music instrument manufacturing and retailing sector over the last four years.
