A WELLINGTON firm has received a business boost from retail entrepreneur and former Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis.
Air-Seal Products messaged Theo on social networking site Twitter about its business during Small Business Sunday and was one of six weekly winners to gain a retweet by Theo to his thousands of followers.
The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has more than 2,200 Small Business Sunday winners and supports small firms in the UK.
Business and retail entrepreneur Theo retweeted Air-Seal’s message to his almost 500,000 followers and as a result the company now has more followers on social media.
Air-Seal is also profiled on the Small Business Sunday website at www.theopaphitissbs.com, exclusive to all SBS winners.
Alex Burnand, managing director of Air-Seal, based at Greenham Business Park, said: “We are delighted to be selected as one of the six weekly winners.
“We’ve been in business for over 18 years and to have support from someone like Theo is invaluable. It can be tough trying to raise your social media profile and Theo’s Small Business Sunday has helped us achieve just that.”
Mr Paphitis, who appeared on the Dragons’ Den TV show from 2005-12, said: “My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club – like-minded individuals who can share successes and learning.”
Anyone looking for a retweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5-7.30pm and include the hashtag #SBS.
