A NEW vintage and salvage unit and yard, Rustic Quirks, opens in Tonedale, Wellington, tomorrow (Saturday).
John Dodden, a local businessman, was born in Wellington and for the past ten years has dreamed of opening a ‘shop’ after his passion grew for antiques and collectables.
He started by collecting Herbert Terry lamps. Reclamation yards are the go-to places for unique finds that will create an individual look for inside and outside interiors.
His premises, in Thomas Fox Road, Tonedale, will have lots of desirable vintage and reclamation stock. There will also be a good supply of lamps to old toys, garden troughs, milk churns, galvanised items, old furniture and enamel signs, and many more individual items.
In addition, his fellow reclaimer and friend Peter ‘Robbo’ Robinson from Milverton will have a vast array of items upstairs in the unit.
Rustic Quirks also undertakes house, garage and shed clearances, and buys and sells individual items.
