A FORMER Wellington School student is about to release his first commercial album which has already shot up the Amazon pre-order chart.

Busker Tristan Mackay has struggled to make a living on the streets, but now he has hit the jackpot, landing a record deal with a Grammy award-winning producer.

Now his album, 'Out Along the Wire' was just below Bruce Springsteen in the chart this week.
