BUTCHERY manager Trevor Stark, who works at Rumwell Farm Shop, raised £623.30 for two Somerset charities in the Taunton Half Marathon.
Trevor, 39, ran in aid of Headway Somerset and Stand Against Violence (SAV).
He said: “I trained very hard and I was very pleased with my overall time of two hours and 18 minutes. There was such a great atmosphere and I’m looking forward to doing it again next year.”
Headway provides social and cognitive rehabilitation for adults with brain injury and support and respite for their families through its four Brain Injury Centres based in Bridgwater, Henton, Yeovil and Taunton.
SAV was set up in 2005 following the murder of 17-year-old Lloyd Fouracre. SAV aims to prevent violence, its long-term consequences and the grief of losing loved ones. The workshops it delivers equip and inform students in an effective manner how to Stand Against Violence.
People can still sponsor Trevor by visiting him at Rumwell Farm Shop.
