Nynehead Court has marked 223 years of staff loyalty with a series of presentations to its staff this month – including to one staff member who has worked at the care home for half a century.

The ten employees whose long service was celebrated are: Kim Horton, Deb Sparks and Sandra Dawe (15 years each); Jane Barett, Dawn Broom and Justin Cole (18 years each); Steve Chipperfield (19 years); Hazel Davey (20 years); and Tina Tapp (35 years); as well as Hope Jackson, who has worked at Nynehead Court in a variety of roles for 50 years, beginning as a care assistant and now working as a seamstress.

Home manager Angela Watkins said: “Nynehead Court has a large number of long-serving staff, some of whom are from several generations of the same family.

“This enables us to give our residents wonderful continuity of care from familiar faces. We were delighted to thank them all for their loyalty, especially our seamstress Hope, who has worked with us for so long.”
