A Wellington care home dedicated to providing the best care for its residents right up until the end of their lives has been recognised with a major national award for the third time running – and was also one of only 15 homes nationwide to make it to this year’s GSF Care Home of the Year finals.

Camelot House and Lodge, a specialist dementia care home run by Camelot Care, was among just 40 homes from across England to have repeated its success in winning the Quality Hallmark Award from the National Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Centre, the UK’s largest provider of training in end of life care.

Staff from the home were in London on Friday to receive the award from Liz Jones, Policy Director of National Care Forum at a special ceremony.

She said: “Every home that receives the GSF Quality Hallmark award should be proud they have demonstrated that their residents are receiving that quality of care in the place and manner of their choosing.”
