THE first winner of the Wellington Pet of the Month competition, run by Co-op Funeralcare and the WWN, is Dobby, owned by Susan Wright of Eastlands, Hemyock.

She said her six-year-old dog deserved to be Pet of the Month because he always knows when something is up or someone is poorly, as he stays by their side to provide comfort. He even takes the washing out of the machine when it is finished!

Dobby won a goody bag including a strong ‘Proud to be Wellington Pet of the Month’ cotton eco-shopping bag, certificate and rosette.
