Carnival collection down £200 'because of bad weather'

THE collection at this year’s Wellington Carnival, the Saturday before last, totalled £2,700 – £200 down on last year.

The count has been reducing by £200 a year but organisers are certain bad weather played a big part this year.

Wellington Carnival would like to thank all the local groups and charities which helped this year, especially the Madge Covey, who single-handedly collected £225.
