WELL-KNOWN Rockwell Green resident Ivy Tooze has died at the age of 105.

Born in Bridgwater, Ivy moved to Silver Street, formerly Northgate, Wiveliscombe, as a baby.

She went to live in Rockwell Green in 1952 and lived in Old Road for ten years before moving to Lower Foxmoor Road.

Ivy worked at Fox Bros at Wiveliscombe and Wellington for 46 years, mainly producing puttees for the Army.

She was an active member of Rockwell Green Pensioners and was secretary of the organisation until ‘retiring’ when she was 101.

She was also a regular member of the Rockwell Green Christian Fellowship until recently.
