A CHARITY tractor driver on a mission to take back the world record for the longest tractor journey, stopped off in Wellington this morning to meet the Town Mayor.
Former pig farmer Terry Williams is going a long way to support British soldiers fighting in Afghanistan – 16,560 miles to be exact.
His "Afghan Heroes Tractor Drive of Great Britain" for the Afghan Heroes charity started on May 2 and he expects to achieve his goal of finishing at the Bath and West Showground on February 2 next year after visiting two thirds of the towns on mainland Britain.
