STUDENT Cheyenne Jordan, from Hemyock, has been presented with a gift following almost ten years of service in the choir at St Mary’s Church.

Cheyenne, an A-level student at Richard Huish College in Taunton, was presented with a gift token in recognition of her loyalty to the choir.

She selected singing as part of her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award which she completed while at college – thanks to the help of Hemyock choirmaster Ron White, who made the presentation.

Now, after she has worked in Cornwall over the summer, Cheyenne is looking forward to studying economics at university.
