EVERY year the Blackdown Community Choir picks a charity to support and in 2019 it chose Arc Inspiration, which works with the homeless in the Taunton area.

In the autumn choir members began to collect items for Arc’s Shoe Box appeal, donating toiletries, outdoor clothing, sweets and other essentials to make into Christmas boxes.

Everyone’s generosity made it possible to fill 14 boxes and these, with extras, were taken to Arc’s offices in Taunton in December, where they were gratefully received.

The choir was able to raise £450 from concerts and other events, which was presented to fundraising and communications officer Rosie Hather at Arc’s offices.

The choir has really enjoyed helping Arc Inspiration in its cause and hopes its donation will help improve the lives of homeless people.
