MORE than 20 people attended a Christmas Day lunch for the lonely and needy run by Churches Together in Wellington at the United Reformed Church.

Thirty-three children, teenagers and adults helped with shopping, preparation, cooking, serving and clearing up for the event.

Waitrose supermarket met most of the cost.
