NEW 10,000 gallon stainless steel tanks are up and running at Sheppy’s Cider on the road between Wellington and Taunton.

The tanks, which arrived just before pressing, were supplied by Vigo of Hemyock and are sited alongside two oak vats which have been at the farm for about 60 years.

The new vat house is closer to the new production buildings and has increased storage capacity by 100,000 gallons.

Pressing runs until the end of November – members of the public can go along and see it happening.
