KIND-HEARTED Wellington woman Cindy Moore has helped two good causes by having her long locks cut.

Cindy, 58, from Priory, had her waist-length hair cut for the Little Princess Trust and Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

The trust provides real-hair wigs for youngsters having cancer treatment or who have lost their hair for other reasons.

The care home worker’s hair provided enough for material for wigs for three children.

Cindy also gained sponsorship to tie in with her haircut and raised £835 for CHSW.

She said: “I would like to thank all the people from the Wellington area who contributed – the darts and skittles teams, the ladies at Asda, staff at Wellington House and wLongforth House, family and friends.”

CHSW community fundraiser Paula Hullett said: “I have only met Cindy for the first time today and she is an inspiring lady. We are very proud she has chosen to support CHSW.”

Cindy had been growing her hair since 2013 when she had previously had it cut for the Little Princess Trust.
