CINEMA Obscura’s new season of eight films starts on Sunday (September 23) at Wiveliscombe Primary School New Hall in North Street.

The first film is Loving Vincent (12), an animated biographical drama about the life of painter Vincent van Gogh, and in particular the circumstances of his death.

It is the first fully painted animated feature film. Each of this film’s 65,000 frames is an oil painting on canvas, using the same technique as Van Gogh created by a team of 125 artists.

The film is directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, and doors open 7pm with the film at 7.30pm. Entry is £5 with season membership £25.
