This week was a good week on the reservoir despite the bad weather forecast and some unpredictable conditions. When the fishing was on it was fantastic, with 248 fish landed at a rod average of 2.9. The best limit of the week was caught by Mr M Close weighing 24lb 2oz, Mr N White had a bag weight of 22lb 10oz, Mr M Lucock had 21lb 5oz and both Mr T and Mr A Steer had 20lb 8oz for their limits. Mr P Giles had the best four fish limit weighing 15lb.

Tactics have been a mixture of lines with the changeable weather conditions but floating lines just under the surface have worked best. Small natural patterns such as Buzzer, Diawl Bach, Pheasant Tail and Crunchers have all caught fish. The main areas for fishing have been Rowes End fishing from the shallows into the deeper water and the lodge bank towards the bay. The boats were doing well drifting out into the open water and in the dam area with the airline being on.

With the weather set to stay settled this week, tactics will remain similar with floating lines using natural patterns. The banks were fishing well from the lodge to Rowes End and boats drifting the main area of the lake in particular in front of the lodge and the dam area.
