THE League of Friends of Wellington Hospital were delighted to receive a cheque for £269.26 from Wellington Co-op.

The money had been raised by staff at the store who had organised a ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ competition. The winner was Kirsty Wood, who correctly guessed 337.

League of Friends chairman Annette Cardwell said: “I know the staff of Wellington Co-op do a lot of things for the local community and we are very grateful that on this occasion they have chosen to support The League of Friends of Wellington Hospital.”
