RICHARD Porter's hopes of making a playing comeback with Cornwall and Devon League side Wellington have been dashed - at least for the rest of the season.

The talented centre has been sidelined with a broken hand since the end of November.

"We had pencilled him to play again," said Wellington coach John Dunbar. "But Richard has been told by a specialist that he must not play again this season."
