BUILDER’S merchant RGB Building Supplies’ is calling for community centres and village halls in the Wiveliscombe area to get in contact and tell them how £1,000 worth of building materials would be of help following the relaunch of its Well Built Community Fund in April.
Centres and village halls are at the heart of local communities being used for anything from a parent and toddler group and Yoga class to a local meeting and wedding reception, so whatever a venue’s needs, RGB would like to hear about it.
Keith Harris, product and marketing manager at RGB Building Supplies, said: “Our Well Built Community Fund is still as popular with local charities and groups as it was when we launched it over two years ago. In that time, we have donated thousands of pounds’ worth of materials to a wide range of groups throughout the region and it’s now the turn of community centres and village halls to tell us what they would use the materials for.”
Centres can nominate themselves by emailing [email protected] and explaining what project they need building materials for and how the support will be of benefit to them. Nominations can also be made by sending a letter to RGB Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon EX39 9DU. The closing date for nominations is Sunday, June 26.
From all the nominations received, three will be selected as finalists, then the local community will be asked to vote for who they would like to see receiving the building materials. Voting can be done by visiting a local branch, email or via Facebook.
RGB’s Well Built Community Fund will also be helping amateur dramatic groups, schools that support children with additional needs, the scouting movement and libraries throughout the year.
