LOCAL solicitors and property specialists AmicusLaw swept the board at the prestigious Law Firm Services Conveyancing Awards VOX Centre at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on Thursday.

AmicusLaw won the award for best small conveyancing firm across England and Wales beating strong competition from nine other short-listed firms as well as the top award for the south of England.

Now in their seventh year, the LFS Conveyancing Awards are the biggest and most prestigious event in the conveyancing calendar. The awards ceremony took place at a gala dinner in the Vox Centre at the NEC and was enjoyed by a record number in attendance. TV comedian and magician Alan Hudson compered the ceremony – he is a member of the inner magic circle and has been seen on ITV’s the next great magician and Penn & Teller’s: Fool Us.

The awards were accepted on behalf of AmicusLaw by its head of residential conveyancing Peter Watkin, a chartered legal executive and CILEx conveyancing practitioner.

“What a fantastic night and what a tribute to the great people we have in our conveyancing team,“ Peter said.
