THE Beambridge Inn at Sampford Arundel will be the venue for anaother concert on Tuesday, March 3.

UK based country music duo My Darling Clementine are hitting the road with a new album, which includes fresh interpretations of Elvis Costello’s best-known country songs.

The husband and wife duo both have a good track record, each being well-known in their own right, as well as the duo which is now on its 5th album.

Songwriter Michael Weston-King formed the alt-country band The Good Sons, and has since forged a remarkable international solo career, including opening for what ended up being songwriting legend Townes Van Zandt’s last ever concert in 1996.

Lou Dalgleish has toured with Costello, among others, and both are multi-instrumentalists and singers.

My Darling Clementine features perfect country duets and sublime harmonies written for the modern era, but in the style of classic ‘60s pairings such as Dolly and Porter, Gram & Emmylou, and of course George Jones and Tammy Wynette.

There is also currently concert footage on BBC iPlayer.

The concert’s opening act is local songwriter and Thunderbridge Boy, Nick Girone-Maddocks. For a great evening of acoustic country music, look no further!
