COURT Fields School in Wellington has been presented with its second award from the National Citizen Service (NCS) for its support in encouraging Year 11 students to take part in the three-week NCS programme of activities.

Fifty Year 11 students from the school have already signed up for the 2018 programme.
The NCS programme is aimed at 16-17 year olds and takes place over the school holidays.
Students have two periods away from home on residentials, which include a range of outdoor activities, and are given time to develop new skills while learning more about their communities and how they can make a difference through social action projects.
